L-Carnitine

Our L-Carnitine or levocarnitine is an amino acid derivative that plays an important role in energy production and oxidation of body fats.

Scientific evidence

Our body is able to produce carnitine from other amino acids such as lysine and methionine in the kidneys and liver, but in too low numbers. Studies* show that it has an impact on your body fats when combined with an appropriate diet. *Brandsch C et al. "Effet de la L-carnitine sur la perte de poids et la composition corporelle des rats nourris avec un régime hypocalorique". Ann Nutr Metab 2002.
